I lost track of them long ago… (2022)
Acrylic, spray paint on high-quality paper
Troy Ramos
30 x 23
This is easily one of my favorite works. It has everything that I love about something I create… Simplicity, the right amount of spacing between elements, bright colors mixed with dark objects and you can see many different possible interpretations of what the work is or what it could be.
Quite often the titles of my works relate to something I’m experiencing in the moment I’m creating the work, either in the actual moments I’m creating it or something that’s on my mind that day or that week. So for this work I was listening to a lot of Jackson Browne. And again, those experiences or external influences almost become a part of the work because they are part of the process of creating the work.
