This is the original work. No other version of the work exists. Visit here for artist CV/Bio, including current list of exhibitions, awards and grants received.

This artwork was started and completed in June 2020 during a house stay in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Conceptually I had been thinking a lot about minimalism around this time. I wondered if I could go further than I had been with a minimalistic approach. And then one day I discovered a paint color that changed everything. It allowed me to put many layers onto the canvas as a setting for a very simple gesture over top of everything. I went on quite a binge creating works from this perspective, about 25 paintings in the span of a week. This is one of those works.

This painting features a similar layering technique to my other works and has the characteristic dot (here, red) placed high above the lower, white shape on the vast blue space hovering over top. I think this is one of my favorite works I've ever done

This work is high-quality acrylic paints on acid free, 90 lb paper. It’s 11 x 14 and shipped to you, with a protective cardboard backing, in a plastic wrap. It includes an official Certificate of Authentication (signed).
